Hard tail and full squish. Gravel and mountain. Big tires and skinny ones. Let’s cover the rental options:
Frame Material: Alloy or Carbon
Aluminum alloy and carbon fiber are two materials used in the construction of bicycle frames. Carbon is an upgrade that weighs less than alloy and will typically be used in the construction of race bikes.
Frame Size: XS, S, M, L, XL, Kids
Frame sizes are based on a rider’s height. Each of our rentals will have a size designated by letter and height recommendations in inches.
Suspension: Hardtail or Full Suspension
Mountain bikes include suspension to allow for a smoother ride. Bikes that include a rear shock are considered full suspension whereas bikes without a rear shock are referred to as hard tails. Full suspension is considered an upgrade.
Tires: 27.5, 29er, Fat
Tires come in many diameters and widths. Mountain bikes now typically come with diameters of 27.5” and 29”, and some of our fat bikes have 26” diameters. Cross country tires typically will have a width of 1.9” to 2.3” whereas fat bikes will have widths from 3.8” to 5” to allow for more float and lower tire pressures.
With all those combinations, the base price of rentals will vary:
Alloy Fat Bike: 4 hours - $40 / 8 hours - $65
Carbon Fat Bike: 4 hours $50 / 8 hours - $75
Alloy Full Suspension : 4 hours - $50 / 8 hours - $75
Carbon Full Suspension: 4 hours - $60 / 8 hours - $95
